Canadian Fire Fighters Museum - Our Goal
A NEW MUSEUM ON THE PORT HOPE CENTRE PIER
The Canadian Fire Fighters Museum opened in 1984 and has a wonderful collection of artifacts that simply tell the story of how fire fighters have played a vital role in the lives of their communities. The Museum currently occupies the old Port Hope town sheds on Mill Street.
Our goal is to expand and update the Museum to be Canada's National Fire Fighters Museum. The historic Port Hope Centre Pier, currently used for storage only, is our choice for relocating this important Canadian Museum.
